Technical Program Manager, Payments Platform

The Role
Airwallex is a Product-led organisation. Sitting within the product team, our Technical Program Managers (TPMs) drive the end to end delivery of key technical and infrastructure initiatives. TPMs are strong communicators and detail oriented, working closely with engineering as well as our commercial, design, compliance and data teams. Our TPMs manage major initiatives such as card issuing processing systems, payments acceptance channels, and global payouts infrastructure.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Manage key Airwallex infrastructure and technical products, from solution design to roadmap and delivery plans
2. Collaborate across product domains to drive cross-functional initiatives and leverage all aspects of the Airwallex product suite
3. Collaborate closely with engineering, senior leadership, financial partnerships, data and infrastructure teams to bring our products to reality
4. Act as a domain expert for technical initiatives, educating stakeholders on solution inner workings
5. Iterate quickly on user requirements, enhancements, and new engineering approaches

**Qualifications**:
1. 3+ years experience in similar or related technology roles (software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management)
2. A track record of providing program management across all phases of software development from initiation to deployment
3. Ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects in a demanding environment
4. A responsive and collaborative team-player mentality
5. Strong organisational skills with demonstrated attention to detail
6. Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to deeply understand customer needs and navigate to successful solutions
7. A bias towards outcomes and customer success, with relentless focus and creativity to achieve our objectives
8. Ability to manage difficult tradeoffs such as long term product vision and short term growth requirements
9. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey product strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences
10. Flexibility to work across multiple time zones

**11. Experience in any of the following is a plus**: hyper growth startup environments, software engineering, financial product industry
