Brand and Communications Manager

Reporting to the Vice President in Communications, this role sits in the Brand, Communications & Sustainability team, and will coordinate and support the team’s efforts in building, protecting, and enhancing MSIG’s corporate reputation through a strategic and integrated focus on brand and communications across the region.
Do note that this is a 6-month contract role.
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan, develop, and execute employee engagement initiatives to increase internal pride and engagement
- Manage all content on the company’s intranet, including the publishing of the monthly highlights newsletter, and encouraging/guiding content contributors in the company
- Support the communications of key initiatives to all staff, including the biannual townhall
- Support external communications initiatives across various channels, including managing partnerships and collaboration with vendors (e.g., printers), creative and media agencies, and our business units in Asia, and planning and crafting of content for social media (i.e. LinkedIn and Facebook)
- Support internal and external awards, including the awarding structure, publicity, and communications
- Support the governance of policies, guidelines, and processes related to the brand (e.g., brand identity, public relations/social media, web style guide, social media playbook), and monitor our business units’ adherence to achieve consistency across the region through the timely update of guidelines and regular training sessions
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Mass Communications, Business Administration, or any other related fields
- Minimum five years of experience in brand and communications in the financial services industry. Experience in the insurance industry will be an advantage.
- Experience in vendor/agency, and project management
- Experience in brand management and social media engagement
- Experience in event management and crisis communications will be an advantage
- Proficiency in statistical analytics will be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Office 365
- Good written and verbal communication in English with seasoned training and presentation skills
- Able to synthesize complex information and simplify into easy and user-friendly forms
- Skills in strategic thinking, creative analysis, ideation, and problem-solving are a must
- Attention to detail
- Exposure to a cross-cultural and/or regional working environment will be an advantage
