Sales Operations Business Analyst (APAC) - Field Operations

Sales Operations plays a key role in the successful growth and expansion of Cloudera, being directly involved in planning, forecasting, territory management, compensation design and go-to-market initiatives. The function acts as a trusted advisor to the business in enabling the teams to make the right data-driven decisions.

The Role

The Analyst role will work as part of the APAC Operations Team and will provide support to the major sales segments in APAC. The role’s responsibility includes a mix of Sales forecasting, internal sales support (opportunity management/hygiene, territory account management, quota setting, comp plan submissions, business reviews, account plan reviews), data and systems analysis and reporting, as well as process improvement and field automation initiatives.

This is a highly critical role and we are looking for a self-starter who can work in a very close-knit team within an extremely fast-paced and dynamic environment.- Very comfortable in proactively voicing and providing recommendations through data & analysis.- Ability to understand big picture goals while balancing and prioritizing numerous day-to-day demands in a high growth environment.- Must have excellent interpersonal skills as this is an internal customer facing role, interfacing with functions such as Sales, across Sales Operations functions e.g. Corporate ops, HR, Marketing, Finance, etc. with the ability to understand and operate cross functionality and globally within Cloudera to enable the right business outcomes to be achieved in a pro-active manner.

Primary responsibilities:
Manage directly a sub-section of the APAC Sales Operations business including but not limited to, Sales Forecasting, Direct Sales Support, Territory Design and Management, Quota Setting & Tracking, Business Reporting etc.- Partner with the Sales Leadership team in APAC in driving the business and optimizing business performance.- Work as part of the overall APAC Business Operations function to develop reporting requirements to resolve a variety of business-related problems.- Contribute to the development and maintenance of business models, business cases, and financial forecasting tools. Conducts trend/root cause analysis. Documents business case analysis and translates business requirements into process/functional design/system solutions.- Streamline processes, drive business automation, implement and develop best practices through utilization of business intelligence and business acumen. Communicates processes and results to Senior Leadership across all functions of the business.- Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities to ensure high quality & timely deployment of the assigned key projects/initiatives- Participates in and drives strategic discussions around business activities. Identifies and recommends productivity improvement opportunities.- Represent APAC in Global Operational discussions ensuring the requirements of the local theaters are being represented at a Global level.- Manages projects through completion including project tracking, monitoring, reporting, and administration. Ensure standard portfolio processes are met.- Evaluates business process implications of system requirements and makes appropriate redesign recommendations.- Support the data analytics needs by designing/modifying Tableau dashboards according to business requirements- Provide insightful commentary and reporting on key metrics and analytics- Enable the sales teams to become more productive through targeted territory management.- Enable and define the planning of the go to market strategy across channel, direct by segment/industry.- Create and drive field adoption of new business and system processes for operational efficiency- Train sales teams on sales systems best practices and processes and tools.- Work cross functionally to enable the business to achieve its goals through correct stakeholder management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience- Min 5-7 years’ experience in sales operations or similar roles- Broad experience and understanding of business operations/sales operations.-
- Ability to pro-actively identify areas for improvement and drive projects to address those areas- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and critical thinking skills- Enjoys working with sales and other functions in a fast-paced environment- Action-oriented individual with good initiative, ability to organize and prioritize, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, and able to work under pressure or tight timelines.-
- Previous experience developing business critical reporting in Tableau is a strong advantage.
