Responsibilities / Duties
- Works as part of a team in a laboratory supporting chemists and engineers in screening and commercializing new products and process.
- Manages and then safely executes laboratory work requests such as sample preparation (mixing formulations and coating substrates, cutting and conditioning of samples), test Silicone sealants and follow project management system
- maintaining and running relevant laboratory apparatus and testing equipment and documenting data.
- Prepares for and independently performs standard and some non-routine procedures using relevant equipment and instruments, for which activities may include sample or materials preparations, equipment setup and/or configurations, and proper handling and disposal of waste materials that may be generated from experimental activities.
- Accurately and reliably records readings and observations using relevant equipment and instruments.
- Acts responsible for calibration, safe operation, and routine maintenance of simple and moderately complex instruments or machinery, and troubleshoots faulty equipment effects repairs or initiates repair processes as appropriate.
- Maintains inventories of consumable materials, chemicals, and supplies related to activities by anticipating usage rates, order lead times, and ordering/purchasing procedures.
- EHS related activities relevant to lab such as procedure documentations and assigned safety tasks are involved
- Prepare samples and package according to regulatory requirement to arrange shipments
- Promptly and effectively communicates issues to Technology Leader or scientists in order to enable or accelerate problem resolution.
- Actively participate in work group team meetings to address safety, process improvement, problem solving, and other work group, department, and functional topics.

Education
- Diploma in Science / Chemistry / Polymer Science / Chemical Engineering or any other related discipline
- 2 years of working experience in chemical Lab (Dow will provide on-job training), Experience in Adhesive/ Coatings/ Chemical lab environment or construction lab environment is advantageous.
- Experience of working on analytical equipments such as FTIR, Instron tester, adhesion tester, release tester, DSC, TGA will be advantageous
- Good command of English (both spoken and written).
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Words, Excel, Presentation, Outlook).
- High safety ethics, Able to work independently with self motivation
- Open to routine / repetitive laboratory testing work
- Good planning and time management skills
