Topside Module Yard Construction Manager

**Job Summary**:
This role requires good organizational/coordination skills and management of topsides modules Construction (e.g. Process Modules, Utilities Modules, Power Generation Modules, etc.). Direct contact with the client and Fabrication Yard will be necessary. The principle role of the Module Yard Construction Manager is to:

- Kick-off module fabrication contracts together with Topsides Delivery Mgr and ensure delivery of modules in accordance with cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements.
- Plan, define and manage module construction and delivery (mechanically complete), as well as their timely issuance to support integration activities.
- Act as Site Manager located and based at module fabrication yard, be responsible for the safety and security of Company personnel and assets.
- Ensure integration of Company free-issued equipment into the topside’s modules by module fabrication yard
- Monitor compliance with Client contractual requirements, project and corporate specifications (supported by engineering team).
- Prepare, interface with client and maintain a deviation request list with regards to all Client specifications (supported by engineering team).
- Monitor that all module fabrication yard meets the contractual, regulatory compliance, classification society, safety and technical requirements related to topsides engineering (supported by engineering team).
- Review construction yard’s construction sequence and provide necessary feed-back to Engineering and Topsides delivery Manager(s) to manage optimized engineering deliverables to meet module fabrication.
- Ensure Company completions management process including standards is followed.
- Close liaison with engineering team and topsides package manager/topsides delivery manager.
- Provide management support during construction and mechanical completion, through to integration.
- Travel as required, including but not limited to module yards & shipyards in SE Asia region, China, Middle East region, other Company Offices (Oslo, Malaysia, Brazil) and operational production units (offshore).

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that delays to Company are minimized and that project schedule is maintained.
- Manage the Topsides Module Fabrication Contractor and be the main point of contact from Company for the module fabrication. Follow-up and monitor Contractor schedule and progress and ensure any deviation is mitigated by corrective action coordinated with Company and module yard PMT team.
- Interact with Client as required.
- Ensure timely delivery of the mechanically-complete Topsides Modules in accordance with the legal obligations, contract terms, scope of work, technical requirements and company policy.
- Achieving resolution of inter-discipline issues by coordinating with procurement team, engineering team, and other departments in project management team(PMT).
- Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging methodology improvements; and absorbing new/best practices from clients and partners.
- Clash resolution and troubleshooting, even when not directly in own area (taking a holistic approach to the project).
- Coordinate discipline issues between client, module fabrication yard, vendors and other relevant parties.
- Provide input to weekly/monthly progress reporting and other relevant status information as needed.
- Plan and execute ITP activities at module fabrication contractor’s yard and ensure all RFIs are properly attended to and deviations /non-conformances are properly recorded and addressed.
- Make sure that mechanical completion and related documentation is conducted/ submitted and completed in a timely manner and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Participate in audits, lessons learnt and review processes as necessary.
- Interact with non-technical disciplines as required (document control, cost control, planning).
- Other tasks as requested by the Topsides Package/Delivery Manager.

**QHSSE Duties - Module construction manager**:

- Take care of all staff under him at the site and visitors from other areas;
- Not interfere with or misuse anything supplied for health, safety and welfare of staff;
- Undertake regular safety meetings, walkabouts and campaigns as required by Company/Client’s standard(s).
- Ensure all company properties are well preserved and protected against vandalism
- Record and maintain safety statistics at module fabrication site and report incidents and occurrences directly to Topsides/Project Manager(s).
- Record and report quality, safety and health related issues and HSSE hazards or deficits within module fabrication yard to the QHSSE department (Comapany and module yard’s safety department);
- Promote and take part in the QHSSE continuous improvement process.
- Encourage staff under him to actively take part in Hazard spotting and reporting in form of HAZOB/HAZID cards.
