**Team Summary**

To ensure that Visa’s payment technology is truly available to everyone, everywhere requires the success of our key bank or merchant partners and internal business units. The Global Data Science group supports these partners by using our extraordinarily rich data set that spans more than 3 billion cards globally and captures more than 100 billion transactions in a single year. Our focus lies on building creative solutions that have an immediate impact on the business of our highly analytical partners. We work in complementary teams comprising members from Data Science and various groups at Visa.
To support our rapidly growing group we are looking for Data Scientists who are equally passionate about the opportunity to use Visa’s rich data to tackle meaningful business problems. You will join one of the Data Science teams and be responsible for leading data science engagements with our partners.

**What a Sr. Manager, Data Science does at Visa**:

- Lead the development of data driven solutions aligned with stakeholder priorities and leading different vendors for the execution if required
- Partner with roles across the organization including consultants, engineering, and data scientists to address prioritized problems
- Implement a robust system for measuring and optimizing the quality of deployed algorithms and models. Monitor AI models in production to evaluate performance, model drift, and decay.
- Evaluate trade-offs between many possible analytics solutions to a problem, taking into account usability, technical feasibility, timelines, and differing stakeholder opinions to make a decision
- Break large solutions into smaller, releasable milestones to collect data and feedback from product managers, clients and other stakeholders
- Maintain awareness of relevant technical and product trends through self-learning/study, training classes and job shadowing

The purpose of the team is to help Visa’s clients grow their business and solve problems by providing consulting services through the use of data.

**Projects you will be a part of**:
The nature of projects in this role will focus on driving value from Visa’ unique data assets and collaborating with **Visa Issuer Solution team to solve their most strategic business problems.** Here are some sample projects

**Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL)**:

- Leverage data-driven solutions to develop case studies, better understand consumer targeting, optimize merchant flows and put together convincing, data-based narratives to sell Instalments / BNPL to issuer and seller side participants

**Engagement Solutions**:

- Enhance existing Visa loyalty platform data models by leveraging various AI solutions

**Portfolio optimization**:

- Conduct client & portfolio level analytics to size opportunities and to derive actionable insights for account teams

**Benefit measurement**:

- Analyze benefit program impacts for both merchants and Visa. Develop metrics or use dashboards to quantify current state and to monitor program effectiveness across markets and segments using scientific measurement solution

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

**What you will need**:

- 8+ year industry experience being a data scientist or analytics consultant.
- Bachelor in STEM field (graduate degree is a plus)
- Hands-on experience in developing machine learning
