- Manage and mentor a team of machine learning engineers, providing guidance on project prioritization, best practices, and career development.
- Foster a team culture that is inclusive, engaging, and encourages collaboration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders from product management, delivery management, and engineers to ensure the successful deployment of scalable AI products.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging your team to explore and implement cutting-edge generative AI products.
- Develop and maintain best practices, guardrails, and benchmarks for AI across the team by developing team processes and driving accountability.
- Facilitate design and strategy sessions to address complex AI challenges and align efforts with business goals while focussing on inclusive design and accounting for accessibility.
- Work with senior management to ensure alignment on project roadmaps, timelines, and resourcing.

**Let's talk about qualifications and experience**:
Required:

- Either : Master's or PhD in computer science, data science, or a related field and 3+ years of industry experience OR : Bachelor’s and 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or data science, with proven management or team leadership experience.
- Extensive experience managing machine learning systems, including data pipelines, model training, and inference workflows.
- Advanced experience in Python and cloud platforms like AWS, with a solid track record of deploying ML models in production environments.
- Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) techniques, including feature engineering and modeling.
- Experience in managing machine learning or engineering team members, with the ability to guide team members through project execution, prioritization, and development.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and strategy.

Preferred, but not necessary:

- Experience with infrastructure tools like Terraform and familiarity with DevOps best practices (model monitoring, observability).
- Strong knowledge of architectural design patterns for scalable machine learning solutions.
