The Role
Our client has been operating in Malaysia for over 25 years delivering some of the most advanced manufacturing plants and facilities. As a leader in the engineering and construction of high-tech facilities, our client offers a complete range of services from consulting to the managing of turnkey solutions, delivering to the highest quality and safety standards. In addition, they have a dedicated in-house capability for mechanical, electrical, and process engineering works including general fabrication, installation, and maintenance - to serve work packages on projects for other clients. They are currently seeking Mechanical Estimator's to join them on High Tech Projects in Singapore. Key Responsibilities of the Role: - Become involved in the production of competitive tenders / detailed estimates for pre-design or D&B projects. - Advising managers of bid prospects. - Attending pre & post tender interviews. - Complying with specialist sub-contract quotes. - Ensuring sub-contractor quotes comply with specification. - Completing take-offs from tender drawings. - Report regularly to management on competitor activity, market trends, and any other market dynamics that may be useful to management.
**Requirements**:
- A Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering. - A minimum of 5 years’ experience, with exposure to the Singapore Market. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Understand methods of measurement and the concept of cost/valuation reconciliations.
