**What You Will Do**
The Payroll Manager is accountable for budget and end results for area managed including cost management. Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:
- Prepares, documents, and disburses payroll checks, payroll taxes and employee benefit payments
- Evaluates current systems, and recommends and develops operating efficiency improvements
- Monitors and ensures proper documentation of employee benefit payments
- Work is guided by functional strategy and area goals and operational objective.
- Sets area objectives and work plans in alignment with functional strategy.
- Ensures that procedures, processes, and standards are continuously reviewed, tested and aligned with the business.
- Prepares reports illustrating payroll expenditures, including such items as tax payments and benefit plan disbursements
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
- Work and collaborate on other projects and/or assignments as needed
Relationship Focus
Builds cross-functional and cross-regional partnerships across GLOBALFOUNDRIES.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to team
- Guides and influences key decisions made by senior management in own function.
**What You Will Need**
- A bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
- 8+ years of payroll experience
- Requires functional expertise, in-depth department and company knowledge and additional industry or business knowledge.
