Retail Design Leader

We are seeking an experienced Retail Design Leader with demonstrated ability in large-scale retail/mixed use projects in Singapore and Asia. This person, working closely with our Studio Leader and Designers, will compose strategic design concepts then manage the team in developing and delivering world class design products that create high value assets for our retail clients. This is a senior design & management role in our studio and this person would need to be a retail design specialist.

**Key Competencies of a successful Retail Design Lead**:

- Understanding of principles of best practice retail design
- Understanding of global retail trends
- Ability to create innovative commercially responsive retail design solutions
- Ability to interpret and develop a retail brief, work with stakeholders & design teams
- Creative, fast thinking and ability to convey ideas through sketches
- Ability to handle engineering co-ordination of architecture and retail layouts
- Ability to lead a design team and deliver on time
- Project resource and time planning and management
- Strong team briefing and communication skills

**Requirements**:

- Degree holder in Interior Design / Architecture from recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in high quality large-scale retail design projects in Singapore or Asia
- Have approximately 5 years’ experience in Southeast Asia region, leading projects in the Retail / Mixed Use / Lifestyle sectors.
- Sound experience in the leading / disciplinary management of a design / project team or studio
- Exceptional design, communication and presentation skills
- Excellent communication in spoken & written English
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Photoshop, InDesign & Microsoft Office packages.
- Understanding of Financial management of Projects and Studio Resources
- Prior Business Development Experience is an advantage
- Self-motivation and focus
- A willingness to undertake regional short duration trips for client liaison
