The Senior Purchasing Executive plays a crucial role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the shipyard’s procurement operations. This position is responsible for leading a team of 2-3 purchasing professionals, overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment for newbuilding, conversions, and repair projects, and maintaining a reliable supply chain to support ongoing construction and maintenance activities. The role also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on managing tight budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring the highest standards of procurement performance.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 2-3 purchasing professionals by setting clear goals, delegating tasks, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with the shipyard’s objectives. Continuously monitor market trends and industry developments to make informed and cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on key criteria such as quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady and dependable supply of materials and services.
- Negotiating contracts, pricing, conditions, and terms to achieve cost savings and meet quality standards. Draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Ensure the on-time and cost-efficient procurement of materials and services by placing orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and proactively addressing any issues that arise.
- Maintain adherence to all internal purchasing policies and procedures. Ensure that all procurement transactions are properly authorized, and that documentation is thorough, accurate, and up to date.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams within the shipyard to ensure that the purchasing function supports the overall business goals and communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- 5 ~ 7 years of experience leading a procurement or supply chain management team, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
