**Commercial Assistant, Singapore**

The position is situated at NORDEN´s office in Singapore located in Suntec City.

**The Job**

In the role as Commercial Assistant, you can expect to:

- Assist & support NORDEN’s Chartering team in nomination of vessels to cargo clients.
- Be in close contact with ship brokers, ship owners and with the safety platform RightShip to ensure the vessel is considered acceptable for the given voyage.
- Ensure swift and satisfactory response to cargo clients' requests for technical details during the process of vessel nomination including vessel questionnaires, stowage plans, certificates, vessel itinerary etc.
- Maintain system efficiency with constant update of cargo laycans, nomination dates, certificates etc.

**Your competences and core qualifications**

As a person, you have a positive attitude, are service oriented and enjoy contributing to the team while still being able to work independently with your tasks. When dealing with tight deadlines, you meet them by being structured and organised in your approach. In shipping, change is a constant, and therefore, it is important to be flexible and assist where needed. Therefore, it is important that you thrive in a global workplace where you have multiple tasks at the same time. Further, we expect that you have:

- Minimum 1 year’s experience in shipping, primarily in dry bulk.
- Good performance record
- Fluency in English
- Minimum Diploma holder
