About the job

This role will be required to maintain the General Ledgers for operations, following accounting standards and guidelines defined by Global Finance.

Key Responsibilities
- To maintain accurate accounting records, to perform monthly and year end closings and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Helps to ensure financial control and financial risk management so that the organization’s financial position is well controlled and assets are safeguarded
- Ensure month-end and year-end closings are carried out within published global finance timelines
- Complete assigned balance sheet reconciliations accurately and propose and prepare relevant clearance entries
- Prepare income and expenditure analysis as assigned by line manager
- Alongside Internal Audit, administer the IB’s system of financial control and financial risk in order to ensure financial operations are robust

About you
- Some experience in a technical accounting role, ideally with international, multi-currency exposure.
- Relevant university degree and/or (studying for) a professional accounting qualification.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft excel.
- Ability to communicate with individuals on all levels & backgrounds and work under limited supervision.
- Comfortable in a multi-cultural team environment working across time zones.
