At MPA, Innovation, Technology & Talent Development (ITTD) Division focuses on catalysing the transformation of the maritime industry, through the development of a vibrant innovation ecosystem with strong technological capabilities, building new or growing enterprise capabilities that is supported by an agile and competent workforce equipped with a global mind-set.

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will be part of the dynamic Maritime Digital Transformation team that grows Singapore as a leading global maritime technology (Marinetech) hub. The team targets to accelerate industry digital transformation and capability development.

[What you will be working on]

The key responsibilities are:
1. Lead industry capability and technology cluster development in one or more areas, such as artificial intelligence/data, modelling and simulation, quantum tech, supply chain & trade tech, and APIs.

2. Develop industry development programmes such as those relating to digital bunkering, maritime data hub and electronic bill of lading.

3. Evaluate technical proposals seeking co-funding and other form of support.

4. Grow technology networks and partnership with leading global maritime clusters. Relationship and account management.

5. Engage industry players and technology developers to curate challenges, opportunities, and technology roadmaps/plans.

6. Lead SWOT analysis, value chain studies, technology scan and provide recommendations on strategies and action plans.

7. Organise design thinking workshops, outreach events/webinars and communication channels.

8. Work with other agencies and organisations on joint initiatives and outreach events.

[What we are looking for]
- Possess relevant training and industry experience in information & communication technology, science and engineering, maritime studies, or port/trade/supply chain management.
- Be an effective communicator and presenter, competent in both spoken and written English, and able to deal with ambiguity and complexity.
- Possess strong people skills, design thinking skill, and a passion for technology and innovation, meeting people and selling ideas.
