**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Lead Research Studies and Activities**
- Lead and manage research initiatives, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines, client sensitivity, and trauma-informed practices that align with the agency’s core values.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews, collect and analyze data, and perform foundational statistical analyses; design research tools that uphold rigorous ethical guidelines.
- Evaluate policies and practices to identify gaps, maintain accurate and up-to-date databases, and curate resources on key areas such as risk assessment and health policies to inform decision-making.

**Manage Internal and External Stakeholders**
- Coordinate with programme teams and external partners to ensure timely, high-quality research outputs and successful project implementation.
- Foster strong partnerships to facilitate seamless collaboration and ensure program goals are met with precision.

**Monitor and Evaluate Services and Programmes**
- Design and implement measurement tools, analyze results, and provide recommendations to improve policies and programs.
- Oversee resource allocation and ensure research progress is on schedule through effective management of team members and tasks.
- Develop and enforce data management standards to ensure seamless integration, classification, and sharing for effective research analysis.

**Support Organizational Capacity Building**
- Design and deliver research capacity building workshops on methodologies, data analysis, and ethical practices, adapting content based on staff needs and workshop effectiveness.
- Conduct landscape scans to identify emerging trends and issues with significant policy or practice implications, ensuring the agency stays ahead of critical developments.
- Perform global benchmarking to identify gaps in knowledge or practice that could lead to new, impactful research initiatives.

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**:
**Educational Qualification**:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, Health Sciences, Statistics or Data Science, Public Policy or Social Policy, or Applied Research or Evaluation.

**Relevant Experience**:
Possess at least 2 years of demonstrated experience conducting research or program evaluation within a social service setting, with sensitivity to vulnerable populations and complex client needs.
