ING in Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

ING offers both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. ING’s regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand.

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Financial Institutions Team do in ING?

ING’s Financial Institutions (FI) sector combines relationship management, multi-product sales and structured lending for Bank and Non-bank Financial Institutions (NBFI). NBFI clients include sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, pension funds, securities companies and alternative and traditional asset managers.

What would you be doing?- Work closely with the FI Coverage, Trade, PCM, and Lending teams.- Assist with the management of the portfolio which includes customer due dilligence, transaction management, and client monitoring.- Prepare communication for various internal stakeholders including pipeline, transaction status, and other portfolio updates.- Assist in adhoc projects - pitch presentations, database updates, annual reviews, client mapping, overviews (placemats) and research- Assist with KYC matters (both internal and external stakeholders)- Monitor information and news services on client base and share client/sector developments with the team- Help with system updates- Assist with Trade and PCM client services matters

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

- Qualification:_- 2nd to final year undergraduate with a demonstrated interest in banking and finance.
- Skills & Competencies:_
- Basic understanding of how a wholesale bank operates and its business model.
- Ability to work within deadlines with limited supervision and a high level of initiative.
- Willingness to learn and contribute meaningfully to the team and the bank as a whole.
- Ability to communicate clearly with fluent spoken and written English.
- Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
