**Consumer & Market Insights Manager (Quantitative Focus), Asia Pacific**
In the age of technology and information, meaningful data is more precious than platinum. As a Consumer & Market Insights Manager, you will be playing a key role in leading regional consumer understanding with a strong focus on quantitative research. This includes analysis of attitudes, habits, and expectation of targeted consumers with their food and beverage products then in turn helps Symrise better understand consumer needs which leads to meaningful business impact in our Flavor department. Additionally, you will be given opportunities to bring in your own innovative research designs, work with experts of different research domains in the team, with a strong interaction with internal stakeholders.

**The Position**:

- Asia Pacific Consumer & Market Insights_
- Acting as an in-house consultant and insights campion to collaborate with category, country, and commercial teams to understand specific business needs, then design and propose research approaches that best fit different business perspectives including:

- Consumer understanding (usage, attitude, behavior, preferences)
- Brand / product performance / consumer feedback
- Market / Product / Flavor Trends
- Customized market & category needs
- Responsible for consumer understanding in APAC region, with a focus on qualitative as follows:

- Work with agencies to design (brief, questionnaire, analytical plan) and deliver (reporting, presentation) regional level consumer research that drives tangle business actions to support the growth of markets and categories and drive the business growth of APAC region
- Lead in-house quantitative research, including design (questionnaire, logics), data analysis and reporting to answer business questions in a fast and agile manner
- Ensure research projects are conducted with excellence quality of execution, deliverable, insights and recommendations
- Ensure projects are delivered within set timeline
- Proactively and reactively support category and market teams in strategy planning, promotion and client engagement with the insights generated from both primary (quanti. qual) & secondary research data (such as product database; market sizes database; sales data, desk research).
- Optimize & Building Quantitative Research Tools/Communicate Insights & Organize Insights Workshops:_
- Continuously optimize and build quantitative research and analytical capability and tools, manage the agency relationships
- Cascade and train market teams in APAC region on the use of those tools and capabilities to scale and maximum the business impact
- Leverage innovative ways to communicate insights within organization to maximize the impact
- Organize and lead workshops with teams to drive outcome based on insights generated
- Min Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business/Sociology/Food Science or related disciplines.
- Possess 8 years' experience in Market Research/Analytical/Insights role related within Food/Beverage or Nutrition industries with experience from FMCG/Research/Consulting agencies that work closely with these industries are an added advantage.
- Strong expertise in complex quantitative research & data analysis work.
- Strong ability in generating insight and recommendation based on multiple data sources (E.g., Research data, sales, or product database)
- Experience with digital content analysis (including social media analysis/social listening/eCommerce analysis is an added advantage
- Adapter for analytical tools and methodologies and has excellent working knowledge with Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Does possess excellent communication skills including creating engaging convincing presentation with the ability of a storytelling approach.
