**Consumer & Market Insights Manager, Fragrance**:

- Provide strategic and actionable insights to the various Business Units in Symrise, with focus on Southeast Asia markets. Also manage special interest and cross category projects as needed. Manage, design and conduct Global consumer studies (product, concept, market research) to uncover consumer needs and to provide creative direction for fragrance, product concept and technology development. Through insights, drives identification of new fragrance and market opportunities to foster business development and Symrise commercial wins.**The Position**:

- Provide effective and timely support to Consumer Insights projects and activities
- Manage market research projects, focusing on the needs of internal and external clients
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their commercial needs and approach to creation, in turn proposing relevant research design with developments of suitable frameworks for olfactive and flavor characterization.
- Knowledge of product testing protocols and research approaches
- Evaluate research designs, communicate expected outcomes and limitations.
- Liaise with external research agencies to organize fragrance / oral care tests when or as needed
- Ability to supervise fieldwork independently to ensure quality of research, tracking projects for respective region and advise on budget allocation
- Contribute to the data processing and analysis plan for key findings in consumer insight studies
- Analyse and interpret primary / secondary research data. Conduct necessary statistical analysis and provide appropriate recommendations for guiding fragrance, concept, or technology optimisations.
- Share test findings by organizing debriefing sessions with internal stakeholders when or as needed
- Conduct presentations to both internal and external stakeholders where required
- Constantly employ logical and new approaches with regards to data management and project management
- Support project management work for traditional consumer research and neuroscience as needed.
- Degree with at least 7-8 years working experience in consumer research, either in a research agency or within the market / consumer research team of international FMCG companies
- Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methods, with focus on consumer product testing methodologies
- Knowledge of statistics and psychology
- Strong analytical skills, communication and presentation skills and as well as project management / organizational skills
- Experience in end-to-end project management
- Independent, dynamic, efficient, able to multi-task and a flexible team player
- Responsible and objective in nature when dealing with projects and with high attention to details and accuracy
- Self-motivated and creative
- Fluency in English, both oral and written. Knowledge on multi-language and culture is an added advantage.
- Willing to travel within the region if required
- Experience with sensory testing & methods (e.g. discrimination, profiling, etc.) and training panels are added advantage.
