Principal - Next Generation Technology

KKR is building a dedicated team to execute our Technology Growth Equity strategy across Asia, also known as Asia Next Generation Technology (“Asia NGT”). The Asia NGT team will work closely with both the regional country teams across products, and with the global NGT franchise. Currently the team consists of 8 investment professionals, who come from a diverse background and experience with complementary skillsets, and are aided by the operating, capital markets, public policy teams and a diverse group of operating advisors at KKR.

We are now seeking a Principal to join Asia NGT, based in Singapore. S/he will be integrally involved with all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing and performing due diligence, transaction structuring and documentations, implementing value creation initiatives, monitoring and exiting investments, and interacting with firms’ investors, clients and limited partners. As a close knit team within KKR, Asia NGT allows for tight cross border coordination on deals, areas of domain expertise and overall development of an investment professional.
A Principal's primary responsibilities include:
- Examine industry trends and identify investment themes
- Originate deal opportunities in line with the investment themes, be “out there” meeting founders / teams alongside the broader KKR team
- Lead in-depth due diligence and financial modeling analyses on new investment opportunities and manage all aspects of the deal execution process
- Draft and present oral and written materials to management and investors
- Participate and lead portfolio management workstreams, actively support company operating and financial initiatives, and oversee value-creation initiatives
- Take ownership of thematic areas/subdomains in terms of leadership for the Asia NGT franchise
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 6 - 9 years of professional experience, in leading investment firms, investment banks or consulting practices. Prior knowledge and/or investment experience in technology companies is considered valuable
- Strong ability in analyzing and structuring investments using sophisticated research, analytical, quantitative and financial modeling/valuation skills
- Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier institution(s)

- Experience analyzing industry data and the investment cycle for Portfolio Companies to provide insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Self-starter, proactive and strategic thinker to improve portfolio related processes and identify attractive investment themes and opportunities
- Keen attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy to manage the due diligence process, provide in-depth financial modeling, monitor and report on the portfolio company performance, etc.
- Outstanding organization and multi-tasking skills to handle multiple workloads with competing deadlines
- Team-player that enjoys working in a collaborative and collegial environment and willing to pitch in on varying tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: able to communicate with individuals across all levels in a clear, concise, and professional manner
