We’re gamers and developers who love fun, quality games; We support and prioritize the needs of our partners to ensure together, we create the best possible games and put them in the hands of millions of players globally supported by the company interoperability system. We operate almost entirely remotely, so each team member designs their hours and work schedule. In the end, all that matters is the delivered product. We are staffing up rapidly and are looking for a passionate and energetic Technical Director to lead our projects in development

Technical Directors at the company set the technical strategy and achieve the best outcomes for their team. As a company, we build innovative, highly available, at-scale distributed systems and base decisions on data science. We build tools and processes to support collaboration and efficiency, and most importantly creativity. We love the games we make and foster an environment where we can all learn and grow by challenging decisions so that the best ideas win.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working collaboratively with developers on innovative technical architecture
- Achieving high autonomy with developers by enabling them
- Design and build a highly available, resilient, and scalable architecture
- Creating beautiful, clever, and fast code - laying the foundations of what good looks like
- Perform code reviews to improve our team
- Using test-driven development to write well-tested code
- Collaborate with leaders in product to focus our technical efforts to be solving the right problems

**Experience and Skills**:

- An enabling leader with great communication skills, someone who brings out the best in others rather than telling them what to
- Someone is always willing and able to roll up their sleeves and contribute
- Natural ability to problem solve, with proven ability to deliver elegant, innovative solutions to problems, which you should be able to explain in-depth using simple terms
- Deep working knowledge of our primary languages - TypeScript, C#, and Java - typically comes with 4+ years
- Full-stack developer - front-end web, mobile, and backend systems such as document databases, microservice, and event-based architectures, automated testing, and continuous delivery
- Experience in technologies such as AWS - Lambda, EKS, SQS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, IAM, Redis, CloudFormation (or better, CDK) is beneficial
- Experience with Unity and WebGL is a bonus
