**What the role is**

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure, with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime.
The Operations Department is the authority on general operational matters related to policing, including anti-scam public education.
Our core functions include:

- Managing, coordinating, and guiding police operations
- Formulating and reviewing policies, plans, doctrines, procedures, and systems
- Developing frontline operations (including custodial functions), community involvement initiatives, and crime prevention strategies including anti-scam public education
- Overseeing security & counter terrorism efforts
- Dealing with major contingencies
- Developing & managing operations-related technologies such as surveillance cameras and sensors

As an Operations Officer driving anti-scams public education in the Operations Department, you play an important role in developing suitable public educational strategies involving public engagement and education initiatives through an in-depth understanding of the evolving scams landscape.
You will be placed under the Civilian Generalist Careers - Home Affairs Senior Executive scheme.

**What you will be working on**
- We are looking for a pro-active and dynamic individual to be part of our Scam Public Education Office. You will be supporting SPF’s anti-scam public education efforts by developing suitable public educational strategies and working closely with the various stakeholders including government agencies and private sector partners to implement effective anti-scam education programmes.

**What we are looking for**
- A keen interest in citizen engagement and partnership would stand the job holder in good stead, with familiarity of the tools used such as public consultation and facilitation would be a bonus.
- The work will entail maintaining good working relationships with multiple stakeholders for sustained and effective collaboration and the job holder will need to develop a good grasp of the stakeholder landscape in order to identify, formulate and execute feasible and effective programmes on the ground.
- Must have a strong command of written and spoken English, while fluency in other official languages would be a bonus.
- Preferably have at least three years of relevant experience in marketing communications, digital content creation and social media management, and content development. Citizen engagement and community partnership experience would be useful.
- Ideal to have experience in networking and stakeholder engagements as it is a core part of the work.
