**Job Title: Database Administrator**

**Key Skills**: Unix/Windows, Database Monitoring/Deployment tools

Must Have : Hands on experience (6+ years) on relational and noSQL databases.

Preferred: Hands-on experience on MariaDB/Sybase/Mongo DB

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Co-ordinate with core infrastructure team to ensure readiness of databases, prepare requirement document
- Perform software installation and documentation
- Perform periodic analysis on the resource utilization, ensure adequate capacity planning is carried out for databases
- Manage the Development/SIT/UAT/Production environment database setups
- Troubleshoot database performance issues
- Prepare database backup/restore procedures
- Manage deployment / promotion of database changes within different stages of SDLC
- Automate monitoring / enable alert configuration for databases
- Configure Control M job for database related activities
- Ensure proper documentation of processes & maintain KOP

**Key Requirements**
- Well versed in working on multiple relational and NoSQL database platforms
- Unix Shell Scripting
- Hands-on experience in Enterprise-grade Production Database administration and Support
- Expertise in Relational and No SQL database is required.
- Hands-on experience in databases like MariaDB/Sybase/Mongo DB is preferred
- Database schema creation, management, and ensuring data integrity.
- Performance management tuning, Implementing robust backup and recovery
- Experience in capacity planning and general system/networking skillsets
- Good know-how about storage management, replication setup of DB etc
- Hands-on experience in automation and scripting. Experience in development would be a plus
- Overall experience preferred is 6+ preferably in the financial industry
- Database installation & troubleshooting Skills
- Familiar with system and database backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures
- Experience in software installation on servers and documentation of installation steps
- Able to document the technical architecture for database builds
- Clear understanding of the Development/SIT/UAT/Production environment requirements
- Database deployments & its automation
- Overall knowledge of different databases
- Good working experience on SQL Server Database
- Degree from an accredited college / university
- Relevant certifications
- Excellent communication and inter personal skills
- Be able to work with multiple teams to setup the Servers, Database, CI/CD, Backup Setup and Verification, Alert Monitoring Configuration, Aldon Setup etc
- Good Documentation skill and be able to handover the systems to GIS Team.
