- We are looking for a talented senior data engineer to be part of our dynamic team based in Singapore. Reporting to the COO, the incumbent will define, implement and manage the overall data infrastructure and strategy for Optimas Group. He/she will be required to ensure the firm’s infrastructure is scalable to our expansive needs as the business continues to grow.**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for development projects in the data and infrastructure space to meet the firm’s long
- and medium-term needs
- Collaborate with different teams to understand the needs and develop an optimized data infrastructure
- Project manage resources efficiently to meet the overall delivery goals timely
- Specifically, maintain, implement, and improve internal data pipeline, repository, data warehouse and data access APIs
- Work closely with trading and operations to develop data pipelines to cleanse and transform data for both external and internal analytics reports
- Centralise and automate the data processes for Trading and Operations
- Perform web-based system testing, debugging and program re-factorization
- Carry out ad hoc modifications according to the market dynamics and team’s needs
- Keep up to date with industry trends and development
- Create and implement data management processes and procedures

**Role requirements**:

- Graduated with bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or other related disciplinary
- At least 3+ years of programming experience and proficient in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, VBA
- In depth understanding of the front to back flow from trading to operations
- Experience in database concepts with proficiency in SQL and NoSQL, design and development skills with in-depth understanding of server architecture (Linux, Win or Could services)
- Experience in processing large and complex datasets
- Experience working with cloud or on prem technologies and data infrastructure (workflow management engines, databases, storage & file systems, analytics platforms)
- Able to deal with technical issues and communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Tech experience in asset management, investment banking, equity research, private equity, or hedge funds
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin nice to have
- Team player, enthusiastic in brining improvement to the firm, and great interpersonal skills
