Geophysicist to Work On a Quantum Gravimeter

Do you want to be a part of early development of a technology bringing seismic shifts in the way resource exploration is done at present?

At Atomionics, we are building quantum sensing technology using Atom Interferometry, harnessing the potential of wave-nature of atoms. Use of gravimetry in resource exploration has been limited due to the cumbersome process of data collection for on the ground data acquisition. Cold atom technology based Quantum sensor provides high spatial resolution data on a mobile platform.

Atomionics is an early-stage fast growing startup based in Singapore, supported backed by some fantastic investors from the private and public sectors, such as Wavemaker, SGInnovate, Cap Vista, 500 Startups, and other prominent angels. As an early employee, you’ll also be a culture contributor, helping define the culture of the company in a small, focused group in a high-energy environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Planning site exploration programmes
- Surveying and mapping sites
- Collecting and analysing gravity data
- Preparing and presenting reports
- Investigating safety risks on extraction sites
- Leading a team of Geophysicists and interns
- Working with physicists and software engineers to build data processing and analysis tool for a quantum gravimeter

**About you**:

- 4+ years’ experience in geophysics related work
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or a PhD in Geophysics or Geophysical Technology
- Experience leading teams for gravity data collection and analysis
- Reporting gravity data in prescribed formats
- Conducted gravity survey for resource exploration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Even better if you have**:

- Developed or used density inversion softwares for Oil&Gas or mineral exploration
- Familiarity with other geophysical techniques than gravimetry
- Worked on development of mines
- Strong programming skills in Python/C++/Matlab
