We are looking for a transformational leader to lead the People Planning function in Asia Pacific. As Executive Director, People Planning for APAC, you will be responsible for building and leading a strategic, business-critical resource management discipline at GroupM that drives a cultural shift towards people accountability. By developing a forward-looking, data-driven workforce strategy for APAC, you will identify opportunities to optimize our people first, drive diverse casting and support long term growth and performance strategies for the company. Additionally, you will be responsible for acting as the people planning platform's product owner, making sure it is delivered through a tech-enabled, data-driven approach that harmonizes process, rituals, and performance indicators to predict future and current workforce resourcing needs.

- Identify opportunities to bridge connectivity across the GroupM and WPP network.
- Establish performance indicators that hold leaders and managers accountable for their people's optimal performance

**Reporting Structure**:
This role will report into the GroupM Chief People Officer APAC, and be the primary connecting force between our APAC Agency People team; Commercial teams & Client lead teams, as well with our broader People teams in how we successfully plan our Talent resourcing and skills to the scale and complexity of our work.

**Your Key Responsibilities in the Role**:
You will engage with leaders across APAC’s GroupM Agencies, Clusters/ Markets and other Centres of Value (COV) in the APAC Hub location, and establish yourself as an integral part of the APAC People leadership team.

You will be responsible for:

- Defining the structure and lead the implementation of the People Planning function in APAC including establishing the People Planning workflow, process & best practices.
- Maturing the People Planning model in APAC in partnership with Agency CPO’s and GroupM APAC & Cluster CPOs
- Implementing a proven process for aligning People Planning with Talent Acquisition and Org Effectiveness teams to ensure internal staffing/ resourcing options are optimised first before external placements/ searches are facilitated
- Partnering with the Global leadership to shape the product vision and roll-out plan for the resourcing and delivery technology platform; managing the vendor and owning a central playbook for APAC
- Setting workforce metrics for measurement and dashboard reporting with People and Finance teams
- Growing a team and community of People Planners across Group M agencies in markets for cross-brand sharing and talent optimization
- Participating in the WPP People Planning and Resource Management community, identifying talent sharing opportunities across the network where possible

People Team Partnership
- Partnership with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Org Effectiveness and HRBP teams to identify talent and skill gaps, prioritize open positions and drive internal mobility and/ or resource allocation as well as upskilling or training programs
- Support long-term planning of hiring Talent by providing staffing trends, analysing current and future utilization and future skills needs.
- Identify GroupM and WPP mobility opportunities from a change of client, short and long term moves and immediate support.
- Drive diversity of Talent into client and project teams - ensure casted Talent represents a diverse set of backgrounds, skillsets and expertise.
- Act as confidante and partner in sensitive talent issues, maintaining the strictest of confidentiality
- Represent APAC in the GroupM's People Planning Global leadership team to help drive the People Planning function's integration and optimization globally.

Data-driven Workforce Planning
- Deliver a short and long term strategic workforce planning strategy to deliver on business goals,
- Provides the strategic direction for the allocation of the correct agency teams to each client or project based on a real understanding of the client requirements, the commercial agreement and the strengths of each member of the agency, including working with team leads to continually assess account needs and developing resource allocation plans
