Fugro is looking for an enthusiastic Regional Business Controller who will take business control to the next level

In this role, you are finance end-responsible for the regional-business line, with focus on integrity of the financial information, finance business partnering and project control. You will act as the interface between Project Management and Finance, translating risks and operational events into valuable management information and corrective actions.
- About the role_- Based in Singapore and reporting to Regional Business Line Director, Marine Site Characterization (APAC), you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Pro-actively advising business controllers for Marine (APAC) and service line managers on finance / risk topics.- Supports month-end closing process (in corporation with the Finance Shared Service Centre), review of the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, variance analysis compared to forecast and reporting to Head Office- Cash and credit management- Prepares budget and forecast for business lines- Ensures tax compliance in multi-tax jurisdiction environment with high volume of inter-company cross-border transactions- Manages financial project control process:
- Ensures correct revenue recognition and recording of work-in-progress- Reconciles financial administration with project administration prepared by cost controller- Challenges project budgets and monitor progress- Supports service line / project managers with preparation of project forecasts- Analyses actual project performance compared to the forecast / budget- Provides project managers with financial visibility into their financial project performance.- Supports commercial team with tendering activities (cost price calculations, finance related input, cash flow forecast).- Drives continuous improvement of business control processes in the business lines.- Prepares investment proposals, provides transaction support in case of acquisitions or divestments- Responsible for internal control of business-related processes.
- About you_- Bachelor’s degree and CPA / CA qualified- At least 5 - 8 years relevant experiences in Finance, Business Control and / or Project Control- Proven ability to effectively communicate across different function groups and with senior management- Experience in a multi-national project organization is preferred- Pro-active personality who identifies financial risks and independently initiates remedial action- Self-starter who does not mind getting operationally involved and enjoys working on improvement projects- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills- Proactive and positive approach to work
