Reporting to the Audit and Risk Committee Chair of NTU’s Board of Trustees (Board), with a matrix reporting to a member of NTU's Executive Committee, the individual shall assume the role of Director of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and be responsible for partnership, innovation, oversight and management of the University’s enterprise risks.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires the Director to lead his/her team in delivering the following outcomes:
2) Strengthen the University’s capability in managing and responding to risks by developing and implementing a comprehensive ERM framework that aligns with the University’s strategic objectives:
- Lead the identification and assessment of ERM risks across the University, including operational, research, financial, legal, regulatory, data and reputational risks.- Develop policies, procedures and tools for identifying, assessing, and managing risks.- Determine consequences of business disruptions and/or crisis scenarios and propose relevant business continuity plans (BCP).- Monitor external factors that could impact the University’s risk profile, such as changes in market conditions, regulatory requirements, or geopolitical events.- Ensure that the University’s risk management programme is compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

3) Drive risk awareness and risk competency improvement across Schools/Centres/Departments, through training and communications:
- Lead/participate/implement projects and initiatives which strengthen the ERM culture and management throughout the University - one that focuses on identifying and managing risks impacting the University’s ability to achieve its strategic, financial and operational objectives.- Develop activities to exercise and test business resilience and adequacy of business continuity plans.

Partner with the Schools/Centres/Departments on risk engagement activities to facilitate comprehensive ERM identification, assessment and mitigation, ensuring that risk management strategies are integrated and monitored in their day-to-day operations.

Partner with University Leadership, the Board and the Audit and Risk Committee to establish risk tolerance levels and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Key requirements- At least 15 years of ERM experience.- Ability to influence and garner support from University leadership and Board members on ERM matters and compliance strategy, planning, implementation and reporting.- Excellent communication, leadership and analytical skills are a “must” and be demonstrable.- Experience in development of ERM frameworks including BCP and Data Management policies.- Excellent Change Management and Problem-Solving skills.- Relevant ERM certifications from ARIMI, IRM, etc, is preferred.
