**What the role is**
- Singapore Customs is looking for hands-on personnel with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and goals. The officers will be part of our Corporate Services Division, reporting to the Deputy Head of Administration and Logistics Branch. The officer will supervise a team of junior officers.
**What you will be working on**
- Responsibilities The officers will be assigned a portfolio of the following duties: a) Procure goods and services for the Department which includes the research, planning, preparing quotation/tender documents, publishing quotation/tender, evaluating and award of quotation/tender. b) Perform checks, monitor and provide advice on tenders, quotations and procurement matters to divisions/end users to ensure compliance with government procurement policies and procedures so as to achieve effective and timely procurement of goods and services to support Customs operations. c) Ensure effective management and tracking of all purchases including contracts, to ensure they are timely processed and renewed so as to ensure adequate logistics is provided to meet Customs operational needs. d) Conduct reviews, recommend and implement KPIs, SOPs, etc to improve work efficiency and effectiveness so as to achieve better procurement outcome, contract management and corporate governance. e) Plan and administer all logistics activities to support the Department's operations including security, transport, equipment, file registry, facilities management, disposal of forfeited goods and condemned items, storage and issue of stores. f) Manage and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure timely response to the auditor and follow-up by the team. g) Perform other administrative duties for the branch.
**What we are looking for**
- Requirements - Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement in the Public Sector;
- Strong knowledge of Government Instruction Manual on Procurement;
- Resourceful, proactive and possess an ability to multitask and work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines;
- Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills; and - Experience in using GeBIZ system and/or analytics software will be advantageous.
