**Position Purpose**:
The business scope covers Transaction Banking APAC (Cash Management, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commodity Trade Finance, Bank Network Management, Client Implementation, Client Service Desk, and Product Management) and Corporate Deposit & Liquidity APAC (CDL).

The Operational risk & Permanent Controller (OPC) team is part of the Business and is responsible for the implementation, execution and continuous improvement of the Operational risks management framework in APAC on the business scope - covering the identification, assessment, remediation and prevention of Operational Risks.

For the performance of its mission, the OPC team will adhere to the OPC Group mission statement and to the APAC OPC Charter. The OPC team will comply with the regulatory obligations of BNP Paribas, with General Management instructions and will take into account market best practices. The OPC team will work in collaboration with the independent second lines of defense - namely Risk ORM and Compliance.

**Responsibilities**

**Overall and for the scope of processes owned/executed by the Business in APAC, the OPC** role is to:

- Ensure that appropriate procedures and operational controls are in place to strengthen our processes and prevent the occurrence of the major operational risks identified ;
- Ensure that control results are satisfactory or remediated ;
- Ensure the identification and remediation of new operational risks is prompt and sustainable (notably through incidents management) ;
- Contribute to the effective execution of the APAC operating model to manage operational risks:
1. Collaborate strongly with ITO OPC teams as the process chains are front to back and the operational risks stemming from the activity are often prevented thanks to controls along the entire chain of processes;
2. Collaborate strongly with the APAC CCCO Transversal team in charge of (1) the transformation & sustainability of the risks management framework; and (2) coordinating transversal reporting;
3. Collaborate strongly with the OPCs in the territories, where are adopted and executed risks assessments and controls defined regionally;
4. Collaborate strongly with the ISPL APAC OPC Competency Center were many OPC controls are executed;
**As the Head of the OPC team in charge of TBA and CDL, you will notably be in charge of**:

- Team management & development- Maintaining at all-time clarity on the team’s mandate, responsibilities and tasks to be performed
- Allocating the work, set objectives, monitor and appraise the performance of the team members
- Ensuring the quality of the deliverables and outcomes coming from the team
- Supporting the team development leveraging notably on OPC skills matrix and training path tools
- Ensuring the team strong and effective collaboration with the business operational teams, the other OPC teams at regional, territory and platform levels
- Management Information and Operational risk culture- Alerting timely TB management, Risk ORM and Compliance in APAC on fraud and significant process failures
