**LASER COMMUNICATIONS - Senior Control Systems Engineer**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Development of autonomous pointing & tracking systems for terrestrial, aerial & space laser terminals - from concept and requirements definition, systems analysis, architecture development, design and implementation to field testing and evaluation.
- As a part of the Pointing, Acquisition, and Tracking team, support other teams working on mechatronics, optics, electronics, and FSO communications.

**BASIC QUALIFICATION**:

- Equivalent work experience of 1 -5 years with; Degree or Master's in Control, EE, Mechanical, Aerospace
- Theoretical knowledge of control theory, signal processing, estimation, system identification, image processing. Good understanding of algorithms such as PID, LQR, Kalman filters.
- Demonstrated practical experience in the design, analysis, and testing of high performance control systems (preferably electro-mechanical or electro-optical).
- Experience in software development and implementing control and signal processing algorithms in C/C++, experience with Git. Experience in using MATLAB/Simulink.

**PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience in control of electro-optical systems including pointing, acquisition, and tracking.
- Experience with gimbaled optical systems, high-bandwidth steering mirror control, Adaptive Optics (AO) Systems, Free Space Optics systems.
- Experience with inertial sensors modeling and characterization, image stabilization, embedded servo/direct-drive control systems.
- Experience with using Simulink for model-based design, code generation, HIL/SIL testing.
- Experience with development of low-level motor control algorithms (torque control, FOC).
- Experience developing embedded control systems, real-time OS, FPGA, DSP.
