Vista Musical Instruments is an innovative, global collective of music-related brands dedicated to building meaningful products and experiences for the music community. Brands include MONO, Teisco, Harmony, Heritage Guitars and Swee Lee. Vista Musical Instruments is headquartered in Singapore, with operations in USA, UK and APAC, and is a division of Caldecott Music Group.

We are looking for a Product Design Strategist to brainstorm, analyse and decide the product roadmaps for our brands at Vista. These products include but are not limited to musical instruments (e.g. guitars), instrument cases, pedals, and music-related accessories. This role requires meticulous planning and critical thinking as we look to set a high standard for our future products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the implementation of product design policies, objectives and initiatives.
- Lead conceptualisation of new products and improvements to existing products or product lines.
- Assist in shaping the product roadmap, both short term and long-term.
- Perform market research and competitive analysis which help to inspire product strategy and inform decision-making
- Create design concepts and drawings to determine and visualise product.
- Design the best experience around the product, which involves, but is not limited to packaging, UI/UX and emotional/aesthetic appeal.
- Perform research on product technologies and structures to implement into design concepts.
- Understand and develop user personas to inform product design strategy.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, innovations and market conditions.
- Ensure brand identities are consistent across brand touchpoints.
- Ensure product design strategy documentation is up-to-date, accurate and distributed to relevant stakeholders.
- Connect the dots between our brands by finding and establishing synergistic opportunities.
- Coordinate with designers and vendors to ensure accurate communication and efficiency in the design phase.
- Oversee multiple projects and scale design resources accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met.

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Product Design or Industrial Design is preferred.
- Minimum of five years experience in a Product Design or Product Development role.
- Strong conceptual and abstract thinker.
- Be forward looking and sensitive to new ideas and technologies. Not afraid to innovate and challenge the norms.
- Skillset to seamlessly combine research, design and strategy in their work.
- Can speak the language of product, strategy and branding with equal fluency.
- Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally and with management at all levels.
- Ability to work across multiple time zones, collaborating with global teams.
- Independent operator who can easily fit in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Very strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills with the ability to hit deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to be a good representative of the company.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
