[What the role is]

You will be working in the School of Design & Media to develop curriculum and courses related to Animation and Visual Effects.

**[What you will be working on]**
- Develop curriculum and deliver courses including curriculum development, course assessment, project supervision, mentoring of students and providing pre-course, in-course and post-course advice related to media production, animation & visual effects.
- Coach and guide learners and facilitate in all-rounder learner development activities as a personal mentor and educator.
- Enhance the quality of lesson design and delivery through implementing appropriate teaching & learning strategies and methods.
- Evaluate curriculum design, development, delivery and assessment to enhance teaching & learning effectiveness.
- Provide academic administration and development of online learning materials.
- Develop and deliver Lifelong Learning and CET programmes for adult learners.
- Lead and facilitate in school committees and contribute to administrative / management tasks (i.e., outreach, student recruitment, project management) where practicable.
- Lead and facilitate in developmental initiatives and industry collaborations, including media competitions and festivals.
- Lead and facilitate in local and overseas student exchanges and study trips for both online and in-person modes where practicable.
- Embrace continuous learning and staying current and responsive to changing trends in the profession and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.

**[What we are looking for]**
- At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience in Applied Arts, Game Art & Design, Computer Animation, Visual Effects, Procedural Effects & Simulation, Virtual Production, Real-Time CG Production and Media Production.
- Relevant qualifications in Applied Arts / Computer Art & Animation / Visual Effects / 3D Visualisation & Simulation / Game Art & Design / Technical Direction / Immersive Media & Technology or equivalent.
- Relevant knowledge in these areas: 3D Asset Creation, Character Rigging, Procedural Modelling & Texturing, Fluid Simulation, Scripting and Project Management is a bonus.
- Proficient in software such as Maya, Houdini, Blender, Unity3D, Unreal Engine, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Substance Painter, Nuke and ZBrush.
- Passionate in nurturing the next generation of multidisciplinary CG artists, VFX, tech artists and animators.
- Ability and agility to perform in a fast-paced environment, to adapt, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to people manage with pastoral care and empathy.
- Good communication, interpersonal, presentation and writing skills.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Foundation skills such as Art, Observational Drawing, Painting, Classical Animation, Colour & Design, Concept Ideation, Digital Painting & Illustration, Sculpting etc.
