As Manager (Communications), you will provide support to Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC)’s Communications Team, developing, implementing and managing the CDC’s public communications platforms to promote the CDC’s work and programmes.

You will develop and implement media engagement plans and publicity initiatives for the CDC that are sustainable and impactful, and work on the CDC’s various marketing collaterals, including its newsletter and e-newsletter.

The CDC works closely with the media and its corporate and community partners to do-good for the community. You will strategically communicate the CDC’s work through mainstream and online media channels, creating awareness and inspiring residents/partners to join us in our vision to build a “Do-Good” district.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Relevant knowledge or past work experience in media relations, social media and/or publications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and a second language
- Proficiency (written and verbal) in 2nd language an added advantage
- Comfortable and confident liaising with media and various stakeholders
- General Degree preferably in Communications/ Public Relations with 2 years of relevant working experience
- Non-degree holders with relevant experience are welcomed to apply
- Develop and manage CS CDC’s communications channels to promote better understanding of the CDC’s role and mission. These channels include mainstream media channels, video and online media.
- Monitor, track and analyse online news/trends which may directly affect the CDC and recommend appropriate responses, where needed.
- Draft and vet talking points/sound bites for spokesperson, and prepare them for media interviews.
- Draft and vet Media Advisories, speeches, key messages.
- Implement media engagement plans (e.g. media luncheons, networking sessions and briefings) to build good relations with the media.
- Develop strategies to address issues of concern to the CDC on mainstream media channels.
- Works closely with a appointed vendors to produce content for the CDC’s publication VOICES. Liaising with the team and with the Editorial Committee to determine the line-up for each issue of the newsletter.
- Copywrite and produce content for the CDC’s bi-weekly e-newsletter, E-VOICES. Works closely with the team and with the Editorial Committee to determine the line-up for each issue of the e-newsletter.
- Assists the Team Leader in conceptualising, implementing and reviewing marketing plans and creative editorial concepts for the newsletters and other forms of publicity.
- Guides CDC colleagues in branding, publicity and media matters, including the development and implementation of marketing communication tools for the engagement of stakeholders and residents.
- Manages and responds to external feedback received by members of the public and stakeholders.
- Assist the Team Leader (Communications) in designing and producing marketing communication tools, such as in-house videos and infographics, etc.
- Carries out ad-hoc administrative responsibilities such as procurement of services for the CDC’s branding and marketing initiatives, and tracking of budget utilisation, etc.
