Why does the job exists? What is the primary objective of the job that must be achieved by the incumbent?

To implement and manage internal and external communication channels to explain and raise awareness of CDC’s mission, and to gain support for the CDC’s strategic key thrusts.
- Develop and implement internal and external communication plans and publicity initiatives for major CDC projects.
- Work with Divisions, grassroots organizations, media and other stakeholders to generate positive publicity for the CDC.
- Monitor, track and analyse news/trends which directly involve CDC.
Attend to media and public queries and liaise with relevant officers for timely follow-ups.
- Prepare CDC spokespersons for media interviews, talk shows and in making media statements.
- Procure and manage collaterals of the CDC
- Assist in organising hospitality programmes for corporate visitors
- Handle public enquiries/feedback and requests from external agencies such as display of publicity materials, filming/photo-taking at CDC
- Craft, review and develop standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure consistency in CDC’s corporate image.
- Assists to submit media reports on the CDC, provides feedback, and recommends changes and improvements to PA Headquarters, thereby facilitating communication and coordination between the CDC and HQ.
- Supervises and guides the EAs to ensure optimum utilisation of human resources in achieving CDC targets.
- Provide secretarial support to Council Chairman
- Handles branding, publicity and media matters. This includes the development and implementation of creative, practical and strategic editorial concepts for newsletters, new media and other forms of publicity.
- Works closely with the CDC Council Members to help them to monitor and coordinate CDC initiated and CDC-funded activities/projects.
- Manage Corporate Communications budget
- Craft media advisory, media releases for CDC activities and prepare media kit
- Manage social media for CDC
- Manage Corporate branding for CDC
- Organises Council Meetings, Monthly Management Meetings and any other meetings assigned by supervisors
- Liaises and reminds the colleagues to submit reports, statistics and other required submissions before deadline
- Work closely with CDC District Councillors. Initiate and implement Council Engagement Plan
- Assists Supervisors in formulating, implementing and reviewing plans/ programmes/projects for the development of CDC to achieve community goals
