**Overall Job Purpose**

1.1

To lead and manage the E3D admin team. Develop, update and maintain databases, catalogue, specifications and customization for the assigned projects. This includes helping and monitoring all Engineering subcontractors of the assigned project.

**Core Responsibilities**

2.1

Works as a consultant to the Structural, piping, EICT and Coordinate actively with engineering subcontractors, vendors, attend meetings and communicate effectively to resolve the database and library issues.

2.2

Develops customization of 3D modelling to improve efficiency and productivity

2.3

Develop 3D modelling procedures and updates as per project requirement

2.4

Propose Improvements to the working method in the 3D modelling

2.5

Develops workflows for 3D modelling actives for project

2.6

Reports to Group Lead of Engineering and Design Section in Engineering Management department and to Project Product Manager and System Lead when assigned to a project role.

2.7

Assist the Project Lead, Piping engineer by generating various reports to ensure the quality of design.

2.8

Ensure that the requirements are followed so that the resultant 3D model is consistent, easy to navigate and clash-free.

2.9

Prepare and participate in design reviews with Client and Engineering subcontractors at various stages of the project

Provides Technical Support to end-users

2.11

Project-specific customization of the system and writing macros as per project needs and for further checking the quality of E3D outputs.

Work closely with the super users in the project for smooth execution of 3D modelling

2.13

Plan and conduct training for the discipline designers for their continuous development.

Manage project licenses of E3D software

Supervise 3D administrators of assigned projects if assigned as Lead E3D Administrator in the project

Deals with the Project Engineers and engineering subcontractor’s 3D administrators of the assigned projects.

**6**

**Job Challenges and Problem Solving**

6.1

At times, Engineering Contractors do not produce the outputs (models, designs or drawings) according to the specifications or on time. Thus, the need to vigilantly monitor and review their work and progress and assertively deal with them.

6.2

Occasionally faces a delay in getting the required information from the vendors supplying items to update the library. This will in turn delay the work of design and deliverable of drawings.

**Qualifications & Experience**

7.1

**Educational Qualification**:Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering

7.2

**Certification(s)**:Aveva E3D/PDMS course completion or training or Equivalent.

7.3

**Relevant Experience**:
15 or more years of experience in a Aveva E3D environment and demonstrated proficiency with Cats/Spec and with material take-off. Knowledge of standard drafting techniques applicable to offshore industry.

7.4

**Language(s) and Software**:List any special language requirement besides English and also any fundamental software skill(s) required by this job.

Discipline design tools and 3D modeling including AVEVA E3D, MDS, PML and Auto CAD.

7.5

8.1

Primarily office environment. Possible exposure to hazards such as noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, etc. if working in fabrication or installation sites. The incumbent may be assigned to the shipyard/module fabrication yard/integration yard as required by the project on a short term/long term basis.
