Job Description We are shipping company and are looking for an Accounting Executive to perform accounting duties

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining vessel accounts, including preparing monthly Statements of Accounts and opex reports.
- Preparing payments and liaising with vendors
- Prepare accounting reports or audit schedules
- Perform daily accounting & finance duties including receivable and payable processes, general ledger, tax, and bank reconciliation, etc.
- Responsible for full sets of accounts for the company
- Assist in monthly quarterly and closing accounts (prepare the journal for accrual, prepayment, depreciation, etc).
- In charge of monthly bank reconciliation and intercompany billings
- Issuance of import & export letter of credit
- Review letter of credit documents and ensure compliance with company standards
- Ensure compliance with company financial standards
- Arrange the soft/hard copies filing on time.
- Timely and accurately update the transactions (income/ expense) in the cash book.
- Ad hoc duties as assigned
- Communicate with external stakeholders on issues relating to financial reporting, banking matters etc
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and quarterly reporting packages

**Key Attributes**:

- Polytechnic/Diploma in accountancy or LCCI diploma in accountancy or equivalent
- Min 2 years of relevant working experience
- Prefer relevant working experience in shipping company
- Meticulous, proactive and able to work independently
- Team player and ability to work independently in a fast-paced
- Well-organized, analytical, adaptable and mature individual with a positive working attitude and ability to multitask
- Proficient in Excel and database skills in ERP or any accounting systems
