**What the role is**
- The Sector Planning and Development Division plays a key role to formulate sector strategies, policies, and initiatives to strengthen the social service sector. Drive productivity and innovation for the social service sector, and work on the strategic direction and government funding for the National Council of Social Service (NCSS).

**What you will be working on**
- You will help to drive manpower development through policy analysis and formulation, and planning for the social service sector. You will be required to address issues relating to manpower and financial resourcing for social service agencies, and work with industry partners to develop, drive and review initiatives such as the Social Service SkillsFuture Tripartite Taskforce, and initiatives for social service professionals. You will supervise a team of policy officers in: - driving sector manpower development through policy analysis and formulation, and planning for the social service sector;
- reviewing and building on the sector manpower plan to address issues relating to jobs, skills and organisational capabilities for the sector; and - developing transformative strategies to mitigate manpower challenges in and build a future-ready workforce for the sector.

**What we are looking for**
- Strong policy development, systems-thinking and analytical skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to translate policy considerations into implementation, balancing strategic policy objectives with practical ground realities. - Able to build good collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
