EXEO Global is the global headquarters facilitating the operational and strategic management of overseas subsidiaries for Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime listed EXEO Group, Inc in Japan.

Our primary business is in Managed IT services and the company currently has subsidiaries in the space of M&E engineering services, ICT infrastructure and supply chain technologies that have operations globally. EXEO Global also continually invests in new businesses and technologies that complement the offerings of the Group’s companies.

The role

The Opportunity

Key member of a venture capital team investing in the next generation of technology leaders in Asia. Your primary responsibility will be in supporting the investment team across all aspects of the investment cycle: market analysis, deal sourcing and screening, investment due diligence, deal execution and portfolio management.

Key accountabilities

Performing general industry and thematic research to facilitate idea generation and identification of opportunities for venture capital investment
Managing and updating deal pipeline from sourcing to exit
Conducting detailed analysis on potentially attractive investment opportunities. This involves:
Performing in-depth research on the business fundamentals of the target companies
Developing financial models for determining valuation
Performing competitive analyses of companies in target industries and sectors
Writing detailed investment reports and presentations which contain an overview of the company and industry, the company’s primary business, its strategy, its management, its operations, its financials, its valuation, its key strengths and weaknesses, as well as an investment recommendation
Presenting research findings, assumptions, rationale, and recommendations to the investment team
Maintaining regular updates such as quarterly results or major corporate events, on companies under research coverage
Supporting deal execution and closure
Assisting the fund in managing portfolio company needs post-investment to assist in the growth of these businesses
Monitoring the fund’s investment portfolio, including maintaining and updating performance records
Developing the fund’s macroeconomic outlook through qualitative and quantitative analysis of global economic conditions
Working closely with all members of the investment team

Skills & experience

Entrepreneurial mindset, can-do attitude and enthusiasm to be a core part of a small team building a leading VC platform
Passion for technology, innovation and disruption
A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Engineering from a recognised undergraduate school, and/or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, etc
Team player and self-starter who can work autonomously and multi-task in a dynamic environment
Excellent analytical skills and written and oral communication skills
Detail orientation, meticulous and able to think big picture and strategically
Curiosity and interest in solving problems

**Preferred**:
1-2 years cumulative relevant experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or management consulting required
Previous startup, operating or VC/PE investment and work experience appreciated
Experience working in and familiarity with Asia
Fluent in at least 2 Asian languages
