Digital Service Engineer

Your future role: Become part of our Digital Service Center team to transform the Service Business of Siemens Smart Infrastructure in Singapore and ASEAN. Utilizing cloud-based analytics platforms and providing data driven services to our customers play a key role in our digital service strategy. By using your strong building automation background, you utilize a continuously evolving set of tools & applications to optimize building performance and predict upcoming issues with BMS & HVAC systems. You are able to give clear recommendations on improvement measures and are able to communicate them in form of performance reports and customer presentations. Your responsibilities - challenging and future-oriented: Identify optimization potential, current or upcoming performance issues with data and performance analytics tools for building automation systems. Consolidate findings in reports & presentations. Engage in pre-sales/ post sale activities with customers, internal teams as key user of our analytics tools; design and coordinate the solutioning of our proposal to the customer. Coordinate data collection at customer facilities to perform detailed energy analysis and identify energy efficiency opportunities. Utilize the data at hand to continuously monitor and assess the performance of the customer’s facility and notify internal teams proactively if any performance deviation occurs. Analyze baseline energy consumption, use energy calculations for energy accounting/end use analysis and system performance to identify, and prioritize feasible facility improvement measures and value-added opportunities. Present performance improvement findings that are quantifiable in the form of ROI, KPIs and potential savings to customers Document & initiate appropriate improvement measures, review and report on actions taken Prepare cloud-based analytics platforms to onboard new customers, creating necessary data structures and semantics to the building automation network Ensure the necessary data quality in related systems and work on constant improvements Drive a structured communication approach to foster the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and best practices Your qualifications The basis for your success is a degree in computer science, engineering, or similar experiences 5+ years’ experience in related industries with strong understanding of building management, building automation and HVAC systems including, water/air cooled chiller plants, building controls, lighting, heating systems, control systems, electrical and domestic water system technologies / design Understands building utility bills and has knowledge of establishing baseline and regression analysis. Documented background in energy engineering, able to conduct ASHRAE Level 1, 2 & 3 energy audits. A good understanding of APIs, data manipulation, technical architecture, design and operations of cloud IoT platforms and their associated technologies e.g. MQTT, RESTful API, SSL TLS adds to your profile. Solid experience with data analytics concepts and visualization tools such as PowerBI or similar You are characterized by your analytical and communicative skills, willingness to learn as well as by your problem-solving orientation Able to work independently and with cross-organizational team members You are confident in handling MS Office365 applications Fluent in English We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
