This position is to work as Packaging engineer to design and manage the specification for Packaging material used for products produced at 3M Singapore.

**Job Description **：
- Collaborate with internal departments (Marketing, Labs, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Sourcing) and external converters to develop products packaging from design to mass production.
- Improve the quality and functionality of packaging materials based on the requests of External & Internal customers.
- Support reduction of total delivered cost through packaging modification & process improvement.
- Develop new packaging materials, Sustainable packaging (recycled material, reusable ) & sharing of best practice with other countries.
- Manage the documentation of the specification of packaging materials
- Travel requirement 10-15%

**Interesting aspects of this position**:

- You will be responsible for designing and proposing optimal packaging for a wide variety of products handled by 3M, from large industrial products to consumer products, thus expanding your knowledge and experience.
- You will be involved in the development of packaging structure and materials to deliver functionality, sustainability, aesthetics, and Process/Transportation efficiency, with opportunity to collaborate with Packaging solutions in other regions around the world
- You will have many opportunities to be involved in the creation of global systems in collaboration with Packaging Solutions team not only in Singapore but also in Asia and around the world.

**Required/Preferred skill**:

- Have education in Engineering and/or industrial design or related department major.
- Have working experience as Packaging engineer/design for >3 years is preferred.
- Experience on package development for industrial products is preferred.
- Good communication & collaborative skill is a must, including ability to present complex technical data to cross functional team to influence decision making
- Experience on working with overseas plant or packaging material supplier is preferred.
- Knowledge for Packaging compliance, regulation is preferred.
- Self motivated & independent worker is required
- Proficiency in MS Office is required (advanced Excel functionality, experienced PowerPoint user)
- Fluent in English is required (Business level)
