Job Title

Engineer (Packaging Solutions)

About the Role

This position is responsible for developing and implementing innovative packaging solutions that meet the needs of our customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with 3D CAD modeling, plastic design, and mechanical testing.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will also have a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop complex automated and manual tooling/tray design and mechanical testing criteria to meet established requirements
  • Maintain oversight/streamlining of existing tray/packaging
  • Generate and document packaging drawings, BOM, SAP, and maintain their congruency across factories
  • Support supply-chain and business continuity needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines
  • Proficiency in English communication both spoken and written
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling, plastic design, and mechanical testing
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with related ASTM and ISTA test standards
  • Knowledge of global compliance requirements and trends
  • HDD manufacturing industry knowledge
