Sales General Manager

**Key Responsibilities And Essential Functions**
- Lead South Asia and Oceania (SAO) commercial team to achieve growth and revenue targets by attracting, growing, and retaining right-fit clients
- Recruit, develop, and manage aligned commercial talent by leveraging a competency-based approach to performance management
- Serve as SAO global liaison for big pitch opportunities by supporting high-value pitch meetings, RFP responses, and global client growth initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to develop NX’s go-to-market strategy including but not limited to develop and refine market-specific sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, thought leadership, and case studies.
- Partner with Commercial Operations to define and size a quantified view of the SAO market opportunity in order to make recommendations for further optimizing commercial resource planning
- Act as internal champion for adoption of existing process, technology, and resources while also advocating for market-specific needs or changes when they arise
- Model firm citizenship by acting in accordance with NX’s core values, CSR and continuously improving through feedback
- Ability to travel
**Desired Skills**
- Degree or sales experience in a related field
- 15+ years of experience in commercial leadership with freight forwarding top multinational company
- Deep understanding of the air, ocean freight forwarding and logistics marketplace (customers and markets) in South East Asia, Indian Sub-Continent and Oceania
- Develop and execute on business strategies, process, analytics, and training programs to achieve business plan
- Proven track record of professional success and target attainment while leading high performing commercial teams in Asia
- Demonstrated success navigating global RFP market research bid processes and leading highly consultative proposal and pitch presentations
- Experience designing, implementing, and leading strategic growth and retention initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport, share findings, and explain trade offs internally to advance priorities and externally to secure outcomes
- Proven success developing commercial teams, coaching individuals on performance and professional development, and promoting a positive work experience
- Experience managing sales pipelines and forecasting performance against goal (Salesforce utilization)
- Intellectual curiosity; ability to synthesize data and articulate insights based on audience
- Consummate team-player; comfortable working across departments and job levels
- Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement
- Thrives in fast, high pressure, entrepreneurial environment
