- Report to MD Oceanis & SEA, with responsibility to define and lead the strategic merchandise assortment for the assigned category.
- To maximize growth and profitability to meet planned financial goals.
- To partner with internal departments in creating effective business strategies.

**1. **Merchandising & Buying**
- Develop seasonal merchandising and buying strategies that are market specific, with the ability to identify key items and exclusive product requests to fully optimize on the business potentials.
- Communicate closely with headquarter to ensure assortments reflect the brand vision and seasonal story, while optimizing local needs and regional opportunities.
- On a seasonal basis, review the consumer needs, market trends and competitive environment to identify and explore opportunities.
- Monitor merchandise performance and rebalancing plan, and corrective action plans to maximize sell through.
- Work in collaboration with BD’s in retail pricing and markdown strategies; conduct seasonal price benchmarks, competition survey, price index evaluation for management approval.

**2. **Financial Planning**
- Work closely with Financial Controller and Merchandise Planner to formulate on the seasonal sales and OTB projections for Management review.
- Partner with Merchandiser Planner and Retail to lay out action plans for risks and opportunities identified
- Monitor and control expenditure to ensure operational effectiveness in line to the set financial parameters of the budget.

**3. **Business Analysis**
- To conduct in depth analysis of the business and product performance to evaluate productivity level and identify areas for fine tuning and opportunities for growth. Sharing the findings with other functional teams to form collective ideas.
- Establish effective formats of reporting and channels of communicating business updates.

**4. **Team Leadership and Retail Network Support**
- Work closely with Retail to strive towards the common goal of achieving the set business objectives.
- Devise detailed product training programs to educate the sales team on brand, products, trends, markets.
- Regularly visit stores to track product performance and collect product feedback from retail and clients
- Constantly check on competition products offer and price range; develop market insight of competition to update management
