**Director, Medical Services
Reporting to the CEO, you will provide leadership, strategic input and oversees all functions of the Medical Department (including Medical Services, Pharmacy, Infection Control and Healthcare Performance Office). You will plan and drive clinical services, clinical operations, health delivery models and quality assurance and quality improvement programmes to provide high quality and value-driven patient care, in compliance with all regulatory and professional guidelines, to achieve the goals of the organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and drive quality clinical services/ programmes
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve high standards of clinical care and patient safety
- Plan and drive robust clinical teaching programs to ensure doctors remain relevant and updated on best evidence-based practices
- Contribute to the teaching and professional development of medical students so that present and future patients benefit while raising the organisation’s profile
- Develop and establish strong working partnerships with external stakeholders eg MOH, AIC, acute hospitals and community partners
- Collaborate and build synergy among partners, and contribute to strategic and tactical discussions.
- Develop and drive a robust Infection Prevention and Control programme in the hospital.
- Enforce staff’s infection control practices, prevent hospital acquired infections and to prepare for and respond to outbreaks/pandemic.
- Drive and lead hospital’s Pharmacy services to provide quality care and services to inpatients, outpatients and visitors.
- Lead staff engagement and development, to inspire, motivate and develop staff to deliver high performance to meet the department’s mission and objectives

Key Requirements:

- Masters in Medicine (Family Medicine) and valid SMC practicing licence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 10 years’ experience in clinical medicine, out of which at least 3 years in a hospital administrative role
- Superb judgement, problem-solving and cognitive skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Relevant experience working with elderly patients
- 4-6 years of supervisory experience
