Technical and Business Development Lead

**About the Role**:
As a Technical and Business development Lead in JSAT organization, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions for our clients in Singapore. You will lead technical teams, oversee complex project execution, and ensure the delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions. You will also be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, building local teams and expanding JSAT’s market presence in the automation systems integration sector.

This role requires hands-on experience with automation software and hardware, project management skills, a blend of technical knowledge, strategic vision, and sales expertise, team leadership to position our offerings effectively within the marketplace.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Leadership**: Oversee end-to-end project delivery, from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation, testing, and deployment of automation systems.

**Technical Expertise**: Provide technical guidance and hands-on support in programming, configuring, and troubleshooting automation equipment, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMI, and other control systems.

**Team Development and Leadership**: Build, manage, and mentor high-performing local teams, including technical, engineers, technicians and support staff. Create a culture of excellence and collaboration that aligns with company value.

**Client Interaction**: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, present solutions, and provide support and training on installed systems.

**Quality Assurance**: Ensure all projects meet regulatory and quality standards, including testing and validation processes, to deliver high-quality and safe automation systems.

**Continuous Improvement**: Identify areas of improvement within project processes and propose innovative ideas to enhance efficiency, safety, and system reliability.

**Client Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners. Understand client needs, propose tailored automation solutions, and negotiate contracts to close deals effectively.

**Collaborative Solution Development**: Work closely with the technical and engineering teams to develop customized automation solutions that align with client requirements and industry standards.

**Industry Networking and Brand Representation**: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build networks and promote the company’s offerings. Position the company as a trusted partner in the automation and integration sector.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automation systems integration, with a strong focus on PLC, SCADA, and HMI technologies.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing large-scale automation projects.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams
- In-depth knowledge of automation and control system design, programming, and testing.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in automation (e.g., IEC, ISA).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with various industry sectors, including pharma manufacturing, is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset for identifying business opportunities.

Adaptability and flexibility to acquire new technical skills required for the success in the role.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, and data integration with automation systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages used in automation, such as ladder logic, function block, or structured text.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards related to industrial automation systems.
- PMP or similar project management certification is an advantage.
