Experimental Drug Development Center (EDDC) is seeking a highly motivated (Senior) Research Fellow to join the medicinal chemistry department.

**As part of the medicinal chemistry team, you will**:
Work closely with your supervisor and other senior scientists in medicinal chemistry department as well as other drug discovery disciplines within EDDC
Design compounds, troubleshoot synthetic issues and develop new synthetic routes and produce high quality bioactive compounds in line with EDDC standards while keeping timely and accurate records of the experiments
Actively involved in the multidisciplinary project team discussions
Actively participate/generate new project proposals that can contribute to EDDC’s portfolio
Strictly adhere to the health and safety guidelines and practice A*STAR core values
Co-ordinate and carry out common laboratory duties in the chemistry lab
Plan and manage external chemistry CRO resources when needed

**Requirements**:

- PhD in Organic Synthetic Chemistry/Chemical Biology

At least 5 years of experience in drug discovery or related industries and fundamental knowledge of medicinal chemistry principles for Senior Research Fellow position
Fundamental biology knowledge or experience conducting biological experiments is a plus.
Able to work in a team setting
Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, as well as good organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skill
