**About the role**
McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust.) Pty Ltd are currently recruiting for a Procurement Administrator to join and remotely support our Australian Business Unit.

**As a Procurement Administrator, you will also be accountable for**:
- Being an integral member of the Felix team. Felix is vendor relationship management database that incorporates a vendor database and source to contract module.
- General administration of Felix
- Set up Felix for bids and projects
- Onboarding vendors to Felix (registration / prequalification)
- Engaging and managing the vendors within Felix
- Management of RFQ process as required
- Maintaining system upkeep
- Identify enhancements
- Interface with Felix personnel to resolve issues, etc.
- Administration Scope of Work Search tool
- Coordinate with engineers, procurement, etc.
- Collating, formatting, etc. scope documents
- Lodging and managing scope documents on Sharepoint.
- Assist with procurement activities in projects.
- Assist the creation and ongoing maintenance of the project Procurement Schedule.
- Assist in negotiating and recommending competitive and reliable subcontractors and sources of supply.
- Assist in purchasing of major items and services
- Provide support to projects for other business software systems such as Aconex, AFE, Workbench etc.
- Provide business improvement support and assistance to the Commercial/Procurement function.
- Coordinate procurement initiatives and special projects where required.
- Contribute to the performance/KPI achievement of the procurement team.
- Conduct procurement activities in accordance with the Procurement - Projects and associated flowcharts, forms and templates.
**About your capability, behaviours and experience**:
- Ideally 2 or more years’ experience in administration and procurement.
- Self-starter, shows initiative.
- Competent in use of relevant in-house and standard software.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse procurement issues and provide solutions through appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to think laterally and to effectively prioritise
- Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and inter-relationship skills.
- Clear and definitive written and verbal communication
