
Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Contracts professional to take a leading role in managing and overseeing the full contract lifecycle across our construction projects. You will play a critical part in ensuring contractual integrity, mitigating risks, and supporting project delivery from pre-award through to project close-out. This role interfaces with cross-functional teams and external partners, requiring both technical expertise and strong stakeholder management.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of a variety of contract documents including consultancy agreements, subcontracts, purchase orders, and client contracts
- Drive tender and procurement processes, supporting bid analysis and vendor negotiations
- Monitor contract performance, ensuring all obligations, milestones, and deliverables are met
- Provide strategic guidance on claims, variations, change orders, and extensions of time
- Identify potential contractual and commercial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation
- Act as a key liaison across departments (commercial, procurement, legal, project teams) to align contract terms with project goals
- Support resolution of contractual disputes and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Keep up to date with industry practices, contract forms (e.g., NEC, NEC4), and legal developments relevant to construction projects
**What You Bring**
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a senior or managerial contract role within the construction sector
- Strong working knowledge of contract law and standard construction contracts
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused with excellent organizational skills
- Prior experience handling complex claims or delay-related matters is a plus
- Ability to work independently and provide guidance to junior team members
