- The main purpose of a Ship Broker is to act as a specialist intermediary/ negotiator between shipowners and charterers to arrange ocean transport of goods and commodities by sea, the employment of a vessel or to buy/sell ships on behalf of a client. - We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Trainee Broker to join our Tankers team in our Singapore office. You will work alongside our experienced Brokers to help strengthen relationships with existing clients for sales and help develop new business.
- Ideally you will have some broking experience and be keen to develop your experience. You will be driven and self-motivated and be a strong relationship builder.- What you will be doing
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative research on the maritime and offshore industry, and other related information streams.
- Developing and adding value to our proprietary databases, working to improve the robustness of key data products in shipping and offshore segments.
- Managing data enquiries and related output in an accurate and timely manner for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Contributing and assisting in data projects, synthesising research findings to support key data products, market reports and bespoke client projects.
- Building analytical expertise and technical skills through learning and development opportunities, with a view to developing the capability to take on increased responsibility.

**Job Requirement**
- What we are looking for
- Key Attributes- Commercial awareness of the maritime, offshore industries and seaborne-commodity sectors is preferred.
- Exceptional literacy and analytical skill, with the ability to analyse and present information in a clear and coherent manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English), with additional knowledge of second Asian language being an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
