**Summary**

**Expectations**
- Work in a multidisciplinary team on a variety of projects related to the health, social and financial sector.

- Collaboratively draft proposals and plans for research projects (including study design, data collection plans, budgeting) with guidance from a senior colleague.
- Independently conduct literature reviews and evidence synthesis.
- Undertake tasks using basic to intermediate-level quantitative skills, such as data collection, cleaning and coding using statistical software like STATA or R.
- Undertake tasks using basic to intermediate-level qualitative skills, such as data collection, cleaning and analysis using statistical software like NVIVO, Atlas.ti or Dedoose.
- Conduct interviews and surveys as part of primary data collection.
- Draft and edit reports and briefs.
- Manage projects, including interacting with stakeholders and helping to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables, potentially with guidance from a senior colleague.
- Capacity Building-Related _
- Develop training and capacity-building modules, including content, instruments, slide decks, hand-outs, and delivery plans.
- Develop and construct slide decks for presentations and report submissions, including as workshop synthesis, in the form of a playbook, or for participants’handouts.
- Co-facilitate monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) system development workshops, including MEL alignment workshops, artefact development and finalization, and roll-out briefings for stakeholders.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate the development of a monitoring system, including instruments, the use of instruments, and immediate functionalities of data with partner organizations.
- Provide support for the development of participatory approaches with partner organizations, including providing facilitation support and conducting immersive data collection.

**Required Qualifications**
- Degree in economics, politics, public policy, social sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher qualification is preferred.
- Course transcript demonstrating high academic achievement as well as critical thinking and being multi-disciplinary.
- Research-Related _
- At least 3 years of research experience in an academic, think tank, public sector, private sector, or non-profit setting is preferred. 5 years or more experience is preferred.
- Strong and demonstrated commitment to rigorous and objective research methods and practices.
- Strong and demonstrated commitment to advancing impact in the Southeast Asia or Asia region.
- Sufficient language fluency to be able to conduct qualitative data collection (e.g. interviews, focus groups) and confidently conduct fieldwork in Chinese.
- Relevant language skills for the Southeast Asia region are preferred but not required.
- Previous experience with participatory, co-creation or community building process is a strong asset.
- Previous experience with independent research as evidenced through previous sample reports, published thesis or unpublished thesis.
- Capacity Building-Related _
- Experience in designing, delivering, and facilitating workshops, training, and briefings for capacity building and organizational development.
- Experience in participatory approaches, such as human-centred design, community-led approaches or participatory action research, including in design, delivery, and partners’accompaniment.
- Experience in immersive research and data collection.
- Experience in building and implementing monitoring systems.
- High competence in building slide decks for presentation and as hand-outs.
